How the platform works
My Ads Automation is software we built for our own Google Ads management work. It does the slow, repetitive analysis and drafting, and leaves every decision to a person.
It starts by reading the account
Using the Google Ads API, the platform pulls the reports an experienced account manager would check by hand, across any date range. This step is read only.
- Campaign, ad group, keyword and ad performance
- The search terms that really triggered the ads
- Impression share, including share lost to budget and to rank
- Quality Score parts, ad strength and asset performance
- Change history and Google’s own recommendations
Then it prepares the work
The platform turns its analysis into a concrete, written proposal that a person can read in a minute. Every item carries its reason.
- Responsive search ads, held to the 30 and 90 character limits
- Keywords from real searches, and negatives for wasted ones
- Budget, bid and status adjustments inside the safety limits
- New search campaigns by service and location, created paused
A person decides
Every proposal waits in a queue until the account manager reads it and approves or rejects it. Approval is a separate manual step outside the software’s control, so the platform cannot approve its own work.
Before a proposal is shown, it has already passed three checks: our validation rules, the account safety limits, and a Google Ads API dry run that confirms Google would accept the request without changing anything.
- New ad and 5 negatives appliedApproved by account manager · created paused
- Budget $40 to $46 per dayApproved · reason: limited by budget, converting well
- Proposal rejectedAccount manager chose to keep the current headline set
- 3 keywords pausedApproved · reason: spend with no leads in 60 days
Safeguards that cannot be skipped
Approved changes are sent to Google Ads as a single request, so either all of it applies or none of it does.
Created paused
New campaigns and new ads never start spending until a person enables them inside Google Ads.
Capped changes
Budget and bid changes are limited to a set percentage per proposal, and checked against live values again at apply time.
No deleting
The platform can pause things. It can never remove a campaign, an ad or a keyword.
Location required
A campaign without a target location is refused, so nothing can run worldwide by mistake.
Logged
Every applied change is recorded with its reason, so it can be traced and reversed.
Low volume
Request volume stays far below the Google Ads API daily limits.
What happens to Google Ads data
The short version is below. The full detail is on the data and security page.
Used for the client’s account only
Data is used to manage and report on the account it came from. It is never sold, never shared and never mixed between clients.
Stored on our own computer
Reports, proposals and logs are kept locally. There is no shared cloud database, and credentials sit in a private, access restricted folder.
Access the client controls
We never ask for a Google password. Access comes through Google’s manager account linking, and the client can remove it at any moment.
Questions about the platform?
We are happy to explain how it works, what it can access and how a change is approved.
