Questions and answers
Straight answers about the platform, access to accounts and how data is handled.
What is My Ads Automation?
It is the platform our agency uses to manage Google Ads accounts for our clients. It reads account performance through the Google Ads API, prepares ads, keywords and optimisations, and waits for a human account manager to approve every change.
Can anyone sign up and use it?
No. It is a private, internal tool used only by our own staff. It is not sold, licensed or offered to the public, and there is no public sign up.
Does the software change accounts automatically?
No. The software can only propose. A person must approve each proposal through a separate manual step, and the software cannot approve its own work. New campaigns and ads are also created paused, so nothing starts spending until a person enables it in Google Ads.
How do you get access to a client’s Google Ads account?
Through Google’s own manager account linking. We send a link request, and the client accepts it inside their Google Ads account. We never ask for a Google password, and the client stays the owner of the account, its billing and its data.
How can a client remove your access?
In Google Ads, open Admin, then Access and security, then the Managers tab, and remove My Ads Automation. It takes effect immediately.
What Google data does the platform access?
Only Google Ads data, through the single OAuth scope for the Google Ads API. It does not access Gmail, Drive, contacts or any other Google service. The full list is on the data and security page.
Do you sell or share Google Ads data?
No. Data is used only to manage and report on the account it came from. It is never sold, never shared with third parties, never used for our own advertising, and never mixed between clients.
Where is the data stored?
On the account manager’s own computer. There is no shared cloud database. Credentials are kept in a private, access restricted folder.
Do you use AI?
Yes. An AI assistant helps analyse reports and draft ad copy and proposals. It cannot apply or approve anything. A human account manager reviews and approves every change.
What stops a mistake from costing a client money?
Several limits are enforced in code: budget and bid changes are capped per proposal, a campaign without a target location is refused, nothing can be deleted, and every proposal must pass a Google Ads API dry run before a person even sees it. Every applied change is logged so it can be reversed.
