Data and security
Exactly what Google data the platform accesses, how it is used and stored, and how access is revoked.
Summary
My Ads Automation is a private platform used only by our own agency staff to manage Google Ads accounts for our clients. It accesses Google Ads data through the Google Ads API, uses that data only to manage the account it came from, stores it locally, and never sells or shares it.
Google data we access
The platform requests a single Google OAuth scope:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords, which allows it to view and manage Google Ads accounts that the signed in account manager can already access.
Through that scope it reads and, after human approval, changes:
- Account structure: campaigns, ad groups, ads, keywords, negative keywords, budgets and bidding settings.
- Performance statistics: impressions, clicks, cost, conversions, impression share, Quality Score and search terms.
- Account change history and Google’s own recommendations.
It does not request or access Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, contacts, payment methods or any other Google service. It does not collect personal information about the people who see or click on ads.
How the data is used
Google Ads data is used for one purpose: to manage, optimise and report on the specific client account it came from. That means analysing performance, preparing ads and keywords, and proposing changes that a human account manager reviews and approves before they are applied.
We do not sell this data, share it with third parties, use it for our own marketing, use it to build advertising profiles, or combine data from one client with another.
Limited Use disclosure
My Ads Automation’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
AI assistance
The platform uses an AI assistant, running in the account manager’s own computer session, to help analyse reports and draft ad copy and change proposals. Account data is provided to the assistant only for that task. The assistant cannot apply or approve any change. Every change requires explicit approval by a human account manager, given through a separate manual step.
Where data is stored
- Reports, change proposals and the change log are stored locally on the account manager’s own computer. There is no shared cloud database.
- OAuth credentials are kept in a private, access restricted folder on that computer and are never published or committed to source control.
- All communication with Google uses encrypted HTTPS connections.
Who can access it
Only our own agency staff. The platform has no public sign up, no customer logins and is not offered to third parties. We never ask for or hold a client’s Google password. Access to a client account exists only through Google’s manager account linking, which the client approves.
Retention and deletion
Data is kept only as long as it is needed to manage the account. When a client relationship ends, locally stored data for that account is deleted on request or within 90 days. To request deletion sooner, email hello@myadsautomation.com with the subject line “Data request”. We confirm deletion in writing.
How to revoke access
Clients: in your Google Ads account, open Admin, then Access and security, then the Managers tab, and remove My Ads Automation. This takes effect immediately and the platform can no longer reach your account.
Account managers: the platform’s authorisation can be removed entirely at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Safeguards on changes
- Every change requires human approval.
- New campaigns and ads are always created paused.
- Budget and bid changes are capped per proposal.
- The platform can pause items but can never remove them.
- Every applied change is logged with its reason.
